DITO rockets up 20%, drops 30%, then finishes flat... the Aristocrats! (Wednesday, Oct 7)

Happy Wednesday, Barkada --

The PSE closed down 28 points to 5911 ▼0.5%.

Good news! I have a couple of people who are potentially interested in sponsoring MB, so I'm excited to explore those opportunities. My goal has always been to simply be revenue neutral, and to keep MB free for everyone to enjoy. (inb4 "RAID Shadow Legends" ad)
Shout-out to Christine for her suggestion to try and improve the bottom-line of MB by moving from Mailchimp to SendFox. It's something I'm going to look into, but I'm very careful about making changes. I'll have to investigate. Thanks also to Jack_ol_lantern for suggesting ways to leverage my domain to try a "roll your own" alternative, and to nikohd for suggesting I offer a bitcoin donation address.
I've got lots to study this weekend! No complaints here, though. Exciting times in MB town.

Discovery World gets a lifeline from its chairman... shareholders get diluted (Friday, Oct 23)

Happy Friday, Barkada --

The PSE closed up 66 points to 6345 ▲1.1%.

The PSE has had a nice little 7.5% run the past 5 trading days, let's see how the week closes out. Remember, Converge IPO is on Tuesday!
Shout-out to all the bitcoin hodlers out there. The recent run-up in price (up over US$13k today) must feel nice after Paypal announced it would incorporate crypto transactions into its payment platform (after being anti-crypto for a very very long time).
Happy weekend!

Do I sound more like a Democrat or Republican?

Here are my positions -
  1. Should the federal government institute a mandatory buyback of assault weapons? No
  2. Should a business be able to deny service to a customer if the request conflicts with the owner’s religious beliefs? If they are not engaged in interstate commerce, the Federal Government shouldn't hold any power to legislate on the matter. At the state level (and federal if interstate) Yes, so long as they are not discriminating on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, transgender, or other uncontrollable factors.
  3. Should the government continue to fund Planned Parenthood? Yes, with oversight to make sure the money is going o where it is supposed to.
  4. Should universities provide “trigger warnings” and “safe spaces” for students? No
  5. Do you support the death penalty? Generally no, with the possible exception of treason during an insurrection or invasion.
  6. Should the government support a separation of church and state by removing references to God on money, federal buildings, and national monuments? No, this is referring to God as a concept.
  7. Should businesses be required to have women on their board of directors? No
  8. Do you support the legalization of same sex marriage? Yes, through a constitutional amendment. At the state level, yes.
  9. Should the military allow women to serve in combat roles? Yes as long as they meet the same physical standards as men and pass the same tests.
  10. Should marital rape be classified and punished as severely as non-marital rape? This should be a state-level issue, but yes.
  11. Should terminally ill patients be allowed to end their lives via assisted suicide? Only if there is no chance of survival.
  12. Should hate speech be protected by the first amendment? It is, and yes.
  13. Should gay couples have the same adoption rights as straight couples? Yes
  14. Should states be allowed to display the Confederate flag on government property? They have the right, but I would prefer my state not.
  15. Should women be allowed to wear a Niqāb, or face veil, to civic ceremonies? I am not fully certain. I am leaning towards yes, as long as another woman has verified her identity.
  16. Should welfare recipients be tested for drugs? Only if they have a criminal history related to drug abuse.
  17. Should employers be required to pay men and women the same salary for the same job? This shouldn't be a federal issue unless it involves interstate commerce. But at the state-level (and federal if interstate), Yes if they work the same positions and for the same hours and conditions.
  18. Should there be fewer or more restrictions on current welfare benefits? More, reform it so it supplements, rather than replaces, an income.
  19. Should the government raise the federal minimum wage? The federal government should not have the power to enact minimum wage laws unless it involves interstate commerce, in which case yes, it should be $15 an hour. Each state should be able to set its own laws on the matter.
  20. Should the government make cuts to public spending in order to reduce the national debt? No.
  21. Should the U.S. increase tariffs on imported products from China? Yes, China should be punished for violations of international law.
  22. Should businesses be required to provide paid leave for full-time employees during the birth of a child or sick family member? At the state-level, yes. At the federal level, yes, if they are involved in interstate commerce.
  23. Should the government increase the tax rate on profits earned from the sale of stocks, bonds, and real estate? Capital gains should be taxed the same as ordinary income.
  24. Should the current estate tax rate be decreased? No, I am satisfied with the current system.
  25. Should the U.S. continue to participate in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)? No.
  26. Should the President offer tax breaks to individual companies to keep jobs in the U.S.? No, but put tariffs on all imported goods.
  27. Should the government prevent “mega mergers” of corporations that could potentially control a large percentage of market share within its industry? No.
  28. Do you believe labor unions help or hurt the economy? Help, in theory, but are sometimes harmful.
  29. Should the government break up Amazon, Facebook and Google? No.
  30. Should the government add or increase tariffs on products imported into the country? Yes, all imported goods should be taxed 20%.
  31. Should the U.S. raise or lower the tax rate for corporations? Keep at current rate, but close all loopholes.
  32. Should the government require businesses to pay salaried employees, making up to $46k/year, time-and-a-half for overtime hours? At the state level, yes. At the federal level, only if they are involved in interstate commerce.
  33. Do you support the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)? No.
  34. Would you favor an increased sales tax in order to reduce property taxes? No.
  35. Should pension plans for federal, state, and local government workers be transitioned into privately managed accounts? No.
  36. Should the government subsidize farmers? For now, yes, but once we get out of trade deals, put tariffs on all imports, and tax all interstate sales, subsidies should be ended.
  37. Should the government use economic stimulus to aid the country during times of recession? No, recessions are natural cycles.
  38. Should the Federal Reserve Bank be audited by Congress? Yes, we should know where that money is going.
  39. Should the IRS create a free electronic tax filing system? Yes.
  40. Should an in-state sales tax apply to online purchases of in-state buyers from out-of-state sellers? No, the federal government should not enact an intrastate sales tax.
  41. Should pension payments be increased for retired government workers? Yes, adjust them yearly for inflation.
  42. Should U.S. citizens be allowed to save or invest their money in offshore bank accounts? Yes, as long as all income is reported.
  43. Should the government classify Bitcoin as a legal currency? Yes, but maintain the system of the dollar and cash as a legal currency.
  44. Should the government acquire equity stakes in companies it bails out during a recession? No.
  45. Do you support charter schools? No.
  46. Should the government decriminalize school truancy? No for Elementary school. For middle and high school, no social studies and English, yes for everything else.
  47. Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun? States and the federal government should not be allowed to enact any restrictions on black powder weapons or ammunition for them. For cartridge firearms, the federal government should only have the power to regulate interstate sale of them. At the state level, cartridge firearms should require a license to obtain. The process should involve passing a mental and physical health exam, having a decent criminal record, and passing a written and shooting exam. Handguns and centerfire semi-automatic weapons should have higher standards for licensing and should be registered before being obtained, but automatic CCW to anyone who has a license for a handgun. fully automatic weapons should be illegal to sell, except to collectors, who must meet an even higher standard to obtain.
  48. Should victims of gun violence be allowed to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers? No, this is just dumb.

  53. Should there be term limits set for members of Congress? Yes, maximum four terms for the House, and maximum two for the Senate.
  54. Should people on the “no-fly list” be banned from purchasing guns and ammunition? No, this denies one of due process rights.
  55. Are you in favor of decriminalizing drug use? Yes, for most but not all drugs (basically the really bad ones, e.g., meth, heroin, etc;)
  56. Should the NSA (National Security Agency) be allowed to collect basic metadata of citizen’s phone calls such as numbers, timestamps, and call durations? Only with a warrant and probable cause of a crime.
  57. Should the Supreme Court be reformed to include more seats and term limits on judges? No, this is just trying to pack the court, which should not be politicized.
  58. Should the government regulate social media sites, as a means to prevent fake news and misinformation? No, this violates free speech.
  59. Do you support the Patriot Act? Not the clause that allows warrantless searches.
  60. Should the government be allowed to seize private property, with reasonable compensation, for public or civic use? Only for public land and not for privatization, and the owner must be paid for losses in full.

Q3

For Trading October 1st
Welcome to Q3
Rally Continues
PLTR Prices @ $7.25 ASAN $21.00
Today’s market was looking pretty ugly on the overnight futures reaction to the debate, but we had a deluge of positive data coming from ADP, Case Schiller, Chicago PMI, another look at Q2 GDP and mortgage applications. We moved from -200 DJIA to +100 in the last 20 minutes leading up to the open and it only got better from there. We had the Treasury Secretary from the Seeking Alpha virtual meeting talking about his conversations with Speaker Pelosi and gave some hopeful words, which added gas to the fire, and we were headed to +550 on the DJIA with the rest of the market following. When the dust settled we finished with the DJIA +329.04 (1.2%), NASDAQ +82.26 (.74%), S&P 500 +27.53 (.83%), the Russell +2.97 (.20%) and the DJ Transports the only one lower at -71.79 (.63%). Market internals were unimpressive although volume was about 30% higher but that was likely the effect of the end of the quarter. There were only 2 DJIA lower (DIS & NKE) while the biggest gainers were AXP, UNH, AMGN, GS, & HD.
Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows you to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 3000 members.
I also returned to my radio show today with a great live interview with the Chief Medical Officer of JANONE (JAN) and it was a great show. This is the link to the audio recording including my discussion of the market and the very exciting story of JAN’s phenomenal NON-OPIOID Pain Med! This is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCFCxnijFO4 Enjoy!!

SECTORS: There wasn’t a lot of sector news, but we did have some news from DIS after the close laying off 28,000 employees at the “parks” division with full time, part time, as well as executives. The stock finished today $124.00, better than last night’s reaction but still lower by $1.40 (1.12%). Micron (MU) was sold off even though they beat top and bottom lines but sellers took control and after it traded up to $52.67 on the headline, it spent the day today selling off and closed on the lows at $46.90 -3.81 (7.51%). This is why I always try to NOT trade earnings reports. This is a prime example of being right on the numbers and having it cost you money.
Becton Dickenson reported positive results on their “antigen-based test’ and was higher, closing $233.71 +8.28 (3.67%). Moderna (MRNA) was also higher during the day with a high of $75.39 but finished $70.75 +.23 (.33%). PLL who signed a 5-year agreement with TESLA for an element used in batteries that had traded $54.50 and since closing $37 +26 has had a couple of weaker days finishing the day today $23.69 -1.69 (6.66%) but still well up from $11.00.
New Group: AIR & CRUISE LINES were HIGHER with CCL +.27, RCL +.50, NCLH +.80, AAL +.16, DAL +.12, UAL +.59, HA +.15, ALK -.04 and XTN $58.15 -.18 (.32%).

DEFENSE was LOWER with LMT -4.98, GD -.12, TXT -.68, NOC -7.90, BWXT -.96, TDY -1.73, RTX +.16, and ITA $159.79 -.07.
RETAIL: was HIGHER with M +.07, JWN +.29, KSS +.15, DDS +3.01, WMT WMT +3.13, TGT +1.05, TJX +1.49, RL +.63, UAA +.15, LULU +7.71, TPR -.07, CPRI +.33 and XRT $49.66 +.35 (.71%).
MEGA-CAPS & FAANG were HIGHER with GOOGL -.07, AMZN +17.12, AAPL +2.08, FB +1.01, NFLX +7.31, NVDA +14.12, TSLA +12.03, BABA +18.07, BIDU +5.39, CMG -11.28, CRM +4.35, BA +5.70, CAT +2.09, DIS -.91, and XLK $117.07 +1.34 (1.16%). PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE PRICES ARE LATE MARKET QUOTES AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE 4:00 CLOSES.
FINANCIALS were HIGHER with interest rates with GS +4.18, JPM +.87, BAC +.36, MS +1.18, C +.72, PNC +3.88, AIG +.29, TRV +.56, V +.96, and XLF $24.09 +.34 (1.42%).
OIL, $40.22 +.93, Oil was in a fairly tight range all day. After the oil sold off yesterday it had an “inside day” today, so no real hint to which way it is going out of this consolidation. The stocks were MIXED with XLE $30.03 -.01 (.03%).
GOLD $1,895.50 – 7.70, opened HIGHER and made a slightly higher high and a higher low, closing mid-range but down on the day. There were several “unusual options action” looking for another 10-12% on the upside before year end. We sold the balance of the 3X silver ETF calls at $2.10.
BITCOIN: closed $10,770 -45. After breaking out over $10,000 we have had a “running correction” pushing prices toward $12,000, reaching a recovery high of $12220 Thursday, and after a day of rest in between, we resumed the rally touching $12,635, but have sold off back to support. We had 750 shares of GBTC and sold off 250 last week at $13.93 and still have 500 with a cost of $8.45. GBTC closed $11.01 -.02 today.
Tomorrow is another day.

WMT vs AMZN?

For Trading JULY 8th
JOLTs 5.4 vs. 5 Million
NVAX gets $1.6B from BARDA
Today’s market got off to a very soft start in the DJIA but not so much in the NASDAQ and S&P-500, with the DJIA starting off -240 and managing a rally only as far as -125 before spending several hours going sideways until the last hour of trading when the NASDAQ and S&P ran out of steam and fell below the close and the selloff resumed. It’s never a good thing when and overbought index makes a new all-time high and then closes down and on the lows. The DJIA was -396.85 (1.51%), NASDAQ -89.76 (.86%), S&P 500 -34.30 (1.08%), the Russell -26.89 (1.86%) and the DJ Transports -108 (1.1%). The internals were 3:1 down on NYSE and 2.5:1 on NASDAQ with volume on the NYSE 2:1 down also. The DJIA was 28 down and only 2 up with WMT the big gainer +55 DP’s and on the downside, BA-62, GS -55, and UNH -43DP’s. Even with the good JOLTs number, this market is just over-extended and tired. The stat I mentioned in tonight’s video about the S&P is very telling, I think, with the S&P only 2% off its high, the median S&P stock is down 11%. This market has simply gotten too narrow and it will correct.
We sold half of the remaining NEM 7/17 $60’s bought @ 1.55 and added to last Friday @ $1.30 for an average of $1.47 triggered a 100% Up Rule sale at $2.94, and today’s sale was @ $3.20. They closed today $3.20. We also own a position in SLV 8/21 17 calls @ $ .74, and they closed $ .75, and we also added a spread using the NEM 8/65 / 70 calls at a $1.30 debit.
Tonight’s closing comment video https://youtu.be/5afUNy48sFI
Our Discord Forum link is on the video description..
SECTORS: The FAANG names all finished near the lows, several like MSFT coming off a new all-time high and closing down on the day. Not a good sign if they follow-thru to the downside tomorrow. Also having trouble was CCL, who has had to cancel several cruises for Q4 and Q1 2021. It closed $14.57 -1.04 (6.7%). Add to that, the UAL report that it is giving warnings that it will be laying off “10’2 of thousands of employees.” UAL finished $32.55 -2.66 (7.55%). These two companies do not operate in a vacuum, so both groups are in jeopardy, again. Novavax (NVAX) got a $1.6billion grant from BARDA (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority) to help it along in it’s search for a workable vaccine. The stock, up from $8 as late as the end of February had worked its way up to $85 last month and opened today $104 and traded as high as $111.77 and finished $104.56 +25.12 (31.63%). Don’t get too crazy with this one, this is not its first rodeo. In 2015 it was trading $300 before it had a failure on a different vaccine and the stock fell to $80 before a rally and then in the week of 9/16/2016 it fell further from $169.80 to $23.20 and then on to the adjusted (1:20 reverse) low around $4.00. We’ll hope for a better outcome this time around. Walmart was the big winner on a RECODE that said they are ready to launch Walmart +, to compete with Amazon Prime for same day grocery delivery and next day for other products. Its move today added 55 DP’s to the averages. I don’t think it’s a big deal since for the same money, with Prime you get streaming too. And the margins on groceries are razor thin.

OIL, $40.62 -.01. Oil was lower in last night’s trading before we rallied in the morning. I mentioned in last night’s charts with comments section in the Weekly Strategies letter, prices are trying to work higher towards $45.00. We needed a close over the previous high close of $40.83 and while we were there, we sold off to close below that number. The stocks were higher with XLE $36.26 -1.19 (3.18%).

Gold and Silver: Where Do They Go From Here?

https://federationofglobalmerchants.com/2020/08/14/gold-and-silver-where-do-they-go-from-here/

Investors know by now that one of the leading indicators of an unstable and unpredictable stock market is a surge in the price of precious metals like gold and silver. In February, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the markets officially entered a recession, even though just months later several of the major indices have reached all-time highs. It was a brief dip into recessionary territory, but this sort of volatility is what gives investors hesitation in putting their money into the stock market, rather than something that is perceived to be more stable. Gold future contracts are selling well above $2000 per ounce for the rest of 2020 and well into 2021 as well showing that investors are confident that gold will continue to rise in price. Silver is also surging reaching new all-time highs on a daily basis. So investors may be curious as to how to get into this red-hot market, especially as the markets continue to fluctuate.
Gold:
For centuries now gold has been literally the ‘gold-standard’ of currency and wealth. Dating back all the way to around 40,000 B.C. in Spanish caves, gold is a naturally occurring element that has both fascinated and lured people for as long as barter systems and wealth has been recorded. Currently, gold is enjoying its highest valuations in history as investors flock to the stability of the precious metal through various streams. So what is the allure of gold and why is it so stable?
Warren Buffett once said, “Gold is a way of going long on fear.” That is quite a statement from perhaps the greatest investment mind of our generation. But what does this mean for the novice investor? Even the most successful blue-chip stocks can crash. Obviously the more prominent and profitable companies with mega market caps will not crash as easily as smaller companies, but given the volatility of the pandemic, we can see anything happen. But as stock markets fluctuate on a daily basis, the price of gold remains mostly stoic. Not as manipulatable as stock prices, gold is as steady as it gets for investors.
What makes gold so stable? It is a combination of factors, first and foremost, it is a physical and tangible element which makes it possible for people to store and stockpile. It does not corrode or wear down over time, making it durable and ensuring that the value remains. There is also a finite supply of it in the world. This reinforces that it will always keep a certain level of valuation as the supply is kept in check.
Today, as the Federal Reserve tries desperately to pump money into the American economy to stave off a global recession and keep companies afloat. Printing more American dollars helps in the interim, but it is a temporary band-aid for the bigger problem. As more of the dollar gets created the more it gets devalued as a form of currency. This is another reason why gold is skyrocketing. The two valuations always work inversely to each other, so as the greenback continues to plummet, the price of gold will continue to surge which makes perfect sense if one thinks about it. The value of gold is priced in American dollars per ounce, so if the value of an American dollar retreats, the cost of gold will rise in response.
So how can investors take advantage of the current state of gold? In the age of internet investing, there are plenty of ways to invest in gold or anything in that matter. Most American platforms give inventors the ability to buy fractional shares of companies. While this comes in handy for expensive stocks like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), or Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), it also allows investors to diversify their funds across multiple companies to form a basket approach to an industry. There are also plenty of ETFs or Exchange Traded Funds, available for investors to consider. These funds have the diversification of a mutual fund or index fund, but trade like individual stocks. Here’s a few of the better gold ETFs to consider if you are looking to get into the industry:
  1. IAU – iShares Gold Trust: One of the better known gold ETFs out there, iSHARES is a reputable brand with great overall market performance. The fund has returned over 17% to inventors already this year, and with the price of gold projected to continue to rise, this fund should keep delivering for investors into next year.
  2. DGL – Invesco DB Gold Fund: Another well known and reputable ETF, the Invesco Gold Fund has slightly higher fees than iSHARES but has also had a slightly better return so far this year.
  3. IAUF – iShares Gold Strategy ETF: Another iSHARES ETF, this one has parts of IAU, as well as gold futures contracts, to get a long term forecast of the price of gold so the investor gets exposure to a wider range of gold options.
There are dozens of other ETFs available for investors that cover everything from miners to the finished products. Mining company stocks are another great way to get exposure. As the demand for gold increases, these mining companies should see a rise in their revenues and eventually, their profits as well. These changes will be reflected in their stock prices and we have already seen some of this already this year.
  1. ABX – Barrick Gold: One of the largest gold mining companies in the world, this Canadian company has seen healthy gains in their stock price so far in 2020. Over the last 52 weeks, Barrick investors have enjoyed a 131% increase in stock price. With mining projects ongoing in Canada, America, Australia, South America, and Africa, Barrick has already announced that it is on track to achieve guidance this year despite closures from COVID-19.
  2. FNV – Franco-Nevada Gold: This stock price rose almost 15% in July alone. Franco-Nevada operates as a funding company to gold mining companies, rather than actually doing the mining themselves. Sustainalytics, a guidance and analysis company, rated Franco-Nevada number one amongst 104 precious metal companies.
  3. NEM – Newmont Goldcorp: The largest gold stock by market-cap and the only stock to trade on the S&P 500, Newmont is probably the safest company for gold investors to invest in. On top of steady returns and low volatility in the stock price, the company pays a fairly healthy dividend as well.
With gold at all-time highs, we can begin to question how high the precious metal may go. With a second wave of the coronavirus making its way around some parts of the world, and America, still making its way through their initial wave, the uncertainty that exists in today’s markets may continue into 2021. Some Wall Street analysts have forecast gold to rise as high as $10,000 per ounce, but that seems like a little ambitious. Gold has just recently hit all-time highs at $2000 per ounce and to imagine that it can run up another 500% in the next few years seems far-fetched at this point in time. That would require the markets to enter an extended bear-market, which of course is possible after a decade of a bullish run, but it would also require the American dollar to continue to be further devalued.
Gold is pegged to continue to rise for the rest of this year though and well into 2021. That means investors and analysts are foreseeing a further devaluation of the American greenback as well as continued volatility in the markets and economy. Is gold a safe haven? Some people believe it is, but if you are an investor that enjoys high returns over long periods of time, investing in precious metals may not be for you. Investors love the stability of gold but the returns are never astronomical, with the last few months being an exception. It helps to have a portion of your portfolio dedicated to precious metals to diversify and protect you from any sudden market corrections, but investors should not be looking at gold as a short-term way to get wealthy.
Silver: The other precious metal that has been flying sky-high of recent months is silver, the eternal younger brother to gold. Mined from silver-ore, it is a highly malleable metal that was once valued higher than gold by the Ancient Egyptians. Today, it is relatively low in price per ounce compared to gold, reaching all-time highs recently of just under $30 per ounce. Silver is another stable alternative to gold, and at lower prices, it may be a little more affordable for the novice investor to jump into.
Like with gold, silver has an inverse relationship to the American dollar, and to all currencies in general. Again, this is another reason why silver is hitting all-time highs right now, with silver future contracts predicting a steady rise to mirror gold, well into 2021. There is also something that Wall Street calls the gold silver ratio, which is exactly what it sounds like: the ratio of the price of gold per ounce to the price of silver per ounce. This ratio has historically moved together, which makes logical sense if both precious metals are independently moving inverse to paper currencies. Historically, the gold and silver prices do move together though as the general ratio has been in the range of 17:1 to 20:1.
Silver also has numerous ways for investors to get involved in, including silver mining and production companies, as well as the ever popular silver ETFs. These Exchange Traded Funds have gained popularity amongst retail investors in recent years as a way of purchasing a diversified product as a single equity with low costs, and no trading fees if your platform allows it. Here are a few of the better performing silver ETFs that investors can look into adding to their portfolios if they are interested in the precious metal:
  1. SLV – iShares Silver Trust: Probably one of the better known silver ETFs, this is fully backed by silver bullion and coins held in a vault. While usually fairly steady, this ETF has enjoyed a 52-week increase of 152% with much of that coming in the last few months.
  2. SIVR – Aberdeen Standard Physical Silver Shares ETF: Very similar to SLV but with lower fees, this is an ideal fund for novice and experienced investors to get into as they start to diversify their portfolios.
  3. DBS – Invesco DB Silver Fund: Again another stable ETF for investors to get into, and another good performing one as well. Just as with their gold ETF, Invsco focuses on silver futures contracts for this fund, so it is a nice long-term play if investors are bullish on silver.
Just as with gold, investors can get a slice of the silver pie by buying shares of silver mining companies as well. Here are a few of the top silver mining company stocks that investors can look into adding to their portfolios.
  1. PAAS – Pan American Silver Corp.: This Canada based miner is focussed on the exploration, development, extraction, refining, processing, and reclamation of silver. They operate mines in Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, and are developing more as well for the future.
  2. WPM – Wheaton Precious Metals: Another Canadian based company that deals with miners of gold, silver, palladium, and cobalt. Wheaton is not a direct miner, rather they purchase these precious metals from other mining companies.
  3. AG – First Majestic Silver Corp.: Canadian companies seem to be dominating the silver industry, and First Majestic is another of those. This company focuses mainly in Mexico for gold and silver.
Silver may never be as popular as gold for investors to keep track of but the two precious metals move in a synchronized fashion, and both are looked upon by investors as safe havens for their money when the market is in flux.
The rest of 2020 seems like a wildcard right now, with many analysts expecting a further correction to the markets at any point. There seems to be an inevitability to a market crash of some sort, whether it is as big as the one that happened back in February and March, remains to be seen. Investors are looking at the precious metal industry to hold their funds to wait out any sort of correction or crash. If this does happen, we may expect a pullback in precious metals too as investors selloff to get back into some stocks at their low levels. Such is the ebb and flow of the economy during turbulent times like the current one we are in.
At the same time, what if a market correction does not happen? Will the uncertainty continue or will investors feel relatively secure in the way the markets are progressing? This could cause a reduction in the demand for silver and gold, culminating in lower prices in the future. Of course this also depends on the Federal Reserve diminishing their rate of printing paper currency to bailout the economy, which does not seem like a reality in the short-term at least.
Another point of contention for investors is the ongoing economical and political tensions between China and America. The two world powers have been feuding for the past couple of months over various things, but it escalated as China social media app Tik Tok gained popularity in North America. It was alleged that TikTok was sending data and information from mobile phones back to China, though nobody is sure of their intended use of this data. Regardless, the markets have stumbled several times lately because of this. Both sides have threatened economic sanctions and the banning of certain product use in each country. The prices of silver and gold have shot up as the tensions have escalated between the two governments, as investors flock to the precious metals. Many of the biggest companies on the major stock indices rely on China for materials or production, so any sort of breakdown in supply chains could cause an enormous change to their stock prices. An example of this is a sudden 5% correction in the price of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), as it was thought that iPhone sales would decline if China’s chat platform WeChat was banned in America.
There are other factors that may have an effect on gold and silver prices as well. In this modern economy, many of the retail investors have trended towards younger adults with a sudden influx of income. Popular platforms such as Robinhood combined with increased time at home during the quarantine, have caused retail investor usage to skyrocket during the pandemic. Many of these investors are more lured in by the shiny new objects of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Perhaps we will start thinking of these cryptocurrencies as a modern day version of precious metals one day, as many investors and some analysts, believe that Bitcoin may be a safe haven in the future. Already, the price of Bitcoin has risen above $12,000 in August, mirroring the highs of gold and silver. If the demand for Bitcoin rises higher than the demand for precious metals, we may see an investor migration to cryptocurrencies rather than tangible metals.
Conclusion: Gold and silver are staples of our global economy, and will continue to be so as long as the demand for precious metals exists. In times of uncertainty, gold and silver are viewed as safe relative to the volatility of the stock market. Sure, their prices can vary as well, but because they are tied to a less dynamic valuation that is based on an inverse relation to paper currency, their prices will not and can not fluctuate as much as the liquidity of individual stocks.
As long as the world remains in flux, there will be a general feeling of instability, especially for global markets. A second wave of COVID-19 in the third or fourth quarter of 2020 could prove to be enough to push the markets over the edge and into another recession. The bull market has been rallying for over a decade now, with astronomical gains over the last few years, especially for sectors like the big tech FAANG stocks. Another factor to consider is what a Biden government could bring to the world if he is elected over President Donald Trump in October. A new government could ease some of the tensions with China, as well as within America itself. These are all big what ifs, and could all have potential impacts on the economy and the world. As long as all of these factors are up in the air, investors will be looking to gold and silver as ways of stabilizing their portfolios and protecting their finances from a potential market crash in the future.

Instead of focusing on symptoms (RMT and Cheating), changes should occur in the system.

Tl;dr The game has many mechanics that artificially slow down the overall progress and the only solution some people see is to buy things off Flea Market, which in turn gives more "power" to in-game currency and encourages RMT. The aim should be to smooth out (not SPEED UP but SMOOTH OUT) progression and remove any need for RMT - most likely by making roubles less useful. Redesigning the system will be more profitable time-wise than this infinite fight with RMT (which so far looks like it's never going to end with endless changes and new work-arounds). My suggestions are on the bottom of this post.
Foreword - Current fight with Cheaters and RMT is a game of whack-a-mole. It's never going to stop unless adequate changes to the economy are made. So far it looked like this: RMT-suppliers use high-value items to transfer money = nerf price of high-value items. Bitcoins to make money = nerf bitcoins value. RMT/Cheaters are looting whole maps = limit the loot you can carry.
I will repeat this line in the post a couple times but: While fighting RMT we shouldn't focus on making the economy slower - that's the main reason RMT exists at all. Cheaters/RMT exist because people want to buy Roubles. People want to buy Roubles because it's the only thing that makes them "competitive" without spending hundreds of hours in the game. Slowing the economy down helps RMT, who can find new ways to make money/transfer money endlessly (or until the game is unplayable).
I know that BSG is analyzing and thinking about solutions. Maybe my post helps someone, maybe not. Slowing down progress, limiting items players can loot and infinite bans are band-aid, harmful solutions which do not touch the core issue, but only harm normal players. Yes, it slows down RMT, but it also slows down everyone else, making RMT even more tempting. At this point I believe it would be probably easier to re-design the economy, Flea Market and Traders than to fight RMT endlessly with small changes.
The main reason people are using RMT is because they want to avoid progression. They want to avoid grinding... yet BSG makes the grind harder and harder.
Let's start from the beginning. In this post I'll only touch the systems of the game, omitting any other issues the game had or has. So far we had 3 different economy systems.
  1. Traders without Flea Market
  2. Traders with Flea Market
  3. Traders with FIR Flea Market.
Traders are based on progression and finishing tasks. They require time spent in-raid to unlock better things, while Flea Market only requires a set amount of time (level 10). From a gaming perspective, Traders are something we should encourage, while Flea Market is a "shortcut" to make everyone feel included - that is good for new players.
Now, to shorten it up a bit: RMT buyers want to play the game with cool guns, fight other players (usually win because of better gear) - they don't care about Loot because they just bought in-game currency, they don't need loot. RMT-suppliers mostly care about loot to make money, PVP is a side-effect. Survival players (the Rats) want to loot, do tasks, make money, fight from time to time. The competitive/PVP players (the Chads) want to progress (or do so anyway), get end-game gear, fight with other players and make money by looting end-game areas or geared players.
Economies 2) and mainly 3) ENCOURAGE RMT (high Flea Market prices = more roubles needed = buy more roubles from RMT), discourage Survival players (deaths are more costly and looting is less profitable) and discourage competitive players (again - deaths are more costly, PVP is not profitable at all).
Slowing down progress is only encouraging RMT more and more (because it's easier to spend some money than to play the game for tens of hours), while honest players get caught in the middle and punished in the process. I understand why BSG wants to slow down the economy and limit income. But by limiting ALL income, they also push more players into buying Roubles, who don't have enough time/skill to play.
The direction should be to make the roubles LESS valuable, while encouraging people to play the game, loot and make progress.
My suggestion is simple, combine "Trader-only" era, with current Flea Market era and address issues that were happening during "Trader-only" era:
1a) Add more barter-trades to Traders (available LL1). Ideally - the most common offers are changed once in a while to require different barter items (for example once every week) and only the most expensive items (like the RR or cases) have never-changing barters.
1b) Make the Flea Market, FIR, BARTER-ONLY.
1c) Add Auctions to BID on FIR BARTER ITEMS AND KEYS ONLY.
Explanation: We want to make Roubles less valuable and encourage killing other players/looting. By changing the Flea Market to barter-only we remove the main reason behind RMT, while adding Auctions and bidding system (for example auctions last an hour) removes the instant gratisfaction, yet still gives players an opportunity to get required/missing items or keys.
2) Smooth out the progression by adding new in-between loyalty levels.
Explanation: This one is rather self-explanatory. We want players to get some early-game items sooner, and some end-game items later than it is now, especially with the suggestion 1) changes. Currently the maximum level is 70, yet when people hit level 40 they have access to 95% of gear in the game. The power-spikes between each Loyalty Level are huge and players unlock everything at the same time, making most items useless at that stage.
I propose 7 or 8 loyalty levels in total. For example Ragman could look like this (Suggested items are rouble-bought items. Each LL should have BARTERS for one LL higher items - exception LL7 and LL8):
LL1 - Level 1 - Basic equipment - sling, duffles, hats, PACA, bank robber
LL2 - Level 10 (57k experience total) - Steel helmet, 6B23-1, GSSH headset, bigger rigs (WTRig, etc)
LL3 - Level 15 (142k experience, 90k exp from previous LL) - current LL2 + all Class 3 armor
LL4 - Level 21 (340k experience, 198k exp from previous LL) - Class 4 helmets + some class 4 armor
LL5 - Level 28 (706k experience, 366k exp from previous LL) - Current LL3 + All class 4 armor
LL6 - Level 35 (1308k experiene, 602k exp from previous LL) - Minor Class 5 armor additions
LL7 - Level 43 (2420k experience, 1112k exp from previous LL) - Current LL4 + All Class 5 armor BARTERS
LL8? - Level 52 (4379k experience total, 1959k exp from previous LL) - Class 6 armohelmet BARTERS
As you can see, each Loyalty Level needs 2x as much exp as the previous one. Rep wise and money-wise we follow the same principle. Start with small, realistic numbers and go higher and higher, where the last LL should be close to maximum rep that can be gained (all tasks done).
The progression is also the same as it is now (current LL4 = my LL7), but it's much easier for players to get better items without Flea Market.
Keep in mind that my LLs are just a suggestion. They're up for debate and changes.
2a) - optional - Add more "You can purchase this item" rewards from quests.
Explanation: Currently most quests award roubles, ammo or guns, which are usually sold instantly (unless you need it for Gunsmith). We should encourage doing Tasks by making quests reward some nice items for Barter or purchase, that would not be available otherwise.
Pros of the suggestions:
- Progression is encouraged (most items are available from Traders)
- The power-spikes are not as big (you still have access to items 1 Loyalty higher, just via Barters).
- Roubles are useful only sometimes (bidding on Auctions, or buying gear from Traders).
- Players still can get most important items they want from Flea Market or Auctions (via Barter items).
Cons:
- Not all players will use Flea Market, because it requires more effort.
- Current Flea Market barters are basically scam.
To sum it up - I understand that Nikita in his last podcast said that programming is not 1-click, and I understand my suggestion is a ton of work. I would just like to bring to light that no matter what BSG does with the current economy - it's pointless in the long run. It's wasted effort.

I was contacted by someone from iMarketsLive/IM Mastery Academy and crashed a few of their zoom calls

I was recently contacted by someone on my personal IG account who I didn't follow and who didn't follow me back, asking me if I was interested in learning about trading and making money while doing it. Turns out I'd actually been researching the company for about a week for my podcast. He probably found my account because for that purpose I followed a few of their influencers, even though when I asked him how he found me, he lied and said he's go through hashtags about trading and entrepeuneurship and message the people who used them.
Since I wanted to dig a little deeper, I told him I was interested and he invited me to a zoom call later that same day, where some team leaders would talk about the opportunity more in depth.
I got into the call and there were about 150 people at the start. Later that number would go to 250. The speaker was 24 years old and in the rank of chairman 10, which means he makes 10 thousand a month. That number though, is exclusively due to bringing more people in, not from trading. First thing he did was quote Rich Dad, Poor Dad from Robert Kiyozaki. He quoted the bit of the book that says that 5% of the people on the world own 95% of the money, and that's because they have their money working for them. Basically this was the set up to say "If you want to be part of that 5%, this is your chance." I atended a few more calls, they all had the same tone, and the same predatory nature of all of the messages I've been seeing in this subreddit for years: be your own boss, have financial freedom, flexible hours, talking about people who have a normal job with a normal schedule "aren't truly free", and how trading, bitcoin and forex is the future, and anyone who doesn't jump at the opportunity right now is just missing out.
Even though I've been consuming antiMLM content for a while and could see right through all of their bullshit, it was truly disheartening to be on those calls and go though their social media and see how many people who are really vulnerable, specially due to the pandemic, are being bamboozled by all of this.
From my research into them, I've learned that, as is the case with most MLMs, most of the people who join end up losing money, that their executive VP, Alex Morton is an absolute sleazeball who was in two MLMs before this one (Vemma and Jeunesse) and that the product they offer, the trading courses doesn't seem to be hight quality (I don't know much about trading, so I googled "best online trading courses" and they didn't show up in any rankings, even though they claim to be the #1 online academy worldwide in their presentation without citing any source) and there are services who offer the same for a fraction of the price and without the incentive to recruit anyone.
This MLM is absolutely blowing up in my country (I'm from Chile). Recruits have been trained to ignore any sort of criticism as jealousy, negativity of just ignorance, and while they incentivize their members to "study and expand their knowledge" this invitation seems to be limited to their pre approved list of self help and millionaire mindset books, and the very bottom of the barrel content their own influencers produce.
I haven't seen much about this MLM on this subreddit, so I'll leave some of the resources I used when reasearching them:

Square (SQ) Put Holders Obituary

Square (SQ) Put Holders Obituary
Context : Played SQ 75p 05/15 with 18.5k and sold it at a loss of 7k. Made three day trades on FB yesterday and recouped my losses. My retarded eyes went towards SQ again and i said fuck it lets buy SQ 75P 06/19.
Key Takeaways:
  • Transactions were Square's biggest revenue generator in 2019, but Bitcoin sales were its fastest-growing area.
  • Square revised its net revenue and gross profit expectations because so much of Square's revenue is generated from merchant transactions, and because many businesses across the country have effectively been shut down during the crisis, Square anticipates substantial negative impact to its revenue for the near future.
SQ Revenue Breakdown for FY 2019 :
Transaction-Based Revenue 65%
Subscription and Service-Based Revenue 22%
Hardware Revenue 2%
Bitcoin Revenue 11%
Jack Shit Part Time CEO and Square Capital offered exclusive access to business loans for small business which are not able to pay it back.
All the DD, TA, Analyst rating pointed towards fair value at mid 60's. I was hard af after looking at 'Retail sales plunge a record 16.4% in April, far worse than predicted' today morning as the restaurants and other service business were lagged in revenues which use Square. Meanwhile square is on its way to 52 week high fucking me over with its big dick energy.
Can some one explain me why is this going higher and higher everyday ? I understand PYPL to gain momentum as more people are buying online and shit, but SQ payment API isn't even integrated in any of the sites normal people shop at. All they have working right now is a Venmo like looking app where you can send money for free (no transaction fee unless for higher limits), Buy Bitcoin for a high fee (while robinhood has no fee but with out withdrawals) and buy fractional shares. Nothing makes sense anymore. Stocktwits is cancer. Peace out.
TLDR: SPY 420p 06/19

How Can I Improve my Financial Situation? 26 y/o in NYC

[Intro]
Hi Reddit, I wanted to make a post to get some thoughts on my current financial situation and also advice on how to move forward in case there are better opportunities with what to do with my money that I may be missing out on. I'm going to be extremely transparent with my income, expenses, and savings allocation because I'm looking for specific thoughts on how to improve.
[Context]
I am 26 years old and have been living & working full time in tech sales for exactly 3 years in NYC.

[Income]
My first year salary was 44k + commissions, which totalled 49k pre-tax, 35k post-tax. My second year salary was 46k + commissions, which totalled 57k pre-tax, 41k post-tax. My third year salary was 48k + commissions, which totalled 90k pre-tax, 57k post-tax. This comes out to 196k pre-tax, 133k post-tax.
[Expenses]
I have kept track of every single penny I have spent in the past 3 years in my personal expenses spreadsheet. In total of those past 3 years, I have spent roughly $92k, details as follows:
CATEGORY TOTAL SPENT ON CATEGORY % OF POST-TAX INCOME (133k) SPENT ON CATEGORY
APPAREL 5440.03 4.09%
DRINKS 2820.89 2.12%
EATING OUT 17252.07 12.97%
GIVING 9689.94 7.29%
GROCERIES 4682.57 3.52%
RENT/UTILITIES 25849.17 19.44%
EVENTS/ELECTRONICS/ENTERTAINMENT/HOME NECESSITIES 21341.91 16.05%
TRANSPORTATION 4524.12 3.40%
~92k 68.87%

[Cash/Savings/Investments/Retirement Portfolio]
Given my math, I have made ~$133k total post-tax, and spent ~92k in the past 3 years, which equates ~41k leftover, which I have allocated as follows:

$ notes % OF TOTAL ALLOCATION
CHECKING ACCOUNTS 18,000 36%
HIGH-INTEREST SAVINGS ACCOUNT 5700 ally, 1% interest rate, deposit $25/wk 12%
BETTERMENT AUTO INVESTING 5100 deposit $50/wk, up 2% all time (started 2 years ago) 10%
BETTERMENT ROTH IRA 2100 deposit $25/wk, up 2% all time (started 2 years ago) 4%
ROBINHOOD STOCKS 11100 spontaneous deposits, up 25% all time (started 2 years ago) 23%
BITCOIN 1800 $100/bi-weekly, break-even (started 1 year ago) 4%
401K 5500 $323/monthly, contribute max to get full employer match of 4% 11%
TOTAL ~49.3k 100%
Altogether, everything I have comes close to around 50k, but I guess the Roth IRA and 401k should not be included, which would be closer to 43k.

[Conclusion]
I hope this is not taken the wrong way or as if I am coming across as boastful. I share because I would love any thoughts from the PF community on how I can improve in any way when it comes to
- my income (making more),
- expenses (spending less), and
- current allocations (cash/checkings, investments, retirement funds).
Totally open to any and all criticism and feedback!

New Zealand Police Seize $90M Linked to Alleged BTC-e Exchange Operator Jun 22, 2020 at 09:52 UTC New Zealand police have seized NZ$140 million (US$90 million) in bank funds linked to Alexander Vinnik, a Russian alleged to have been the controller of the now-defunct BTC-e cryptocurrency exchange. The seizure of funds, which were controlled by a New Zealand-registered company, is said to be the largest in the country’s history by federal police. The force’s Asset Recovery Unit moved to freeze the funds amid a global investigation into the activities of the exchange and its operators, according to a report by news source NZ Herald. prosecutors have alleged that Vinnik controlled BTC-e, a bitcoin exchange used to launder billions of dollars for criminal enterprises. Vinnik, who has been denying the charges for up to three years, was arrested based on extradition orders from the U.S. while on holiday with family in Greece in 2017.

For Trading July 16th

For Trading JULY 16th
GS Earnings a Beat Prop-Trading Helps
NASDAQ Still Weaker
TWTR HACKED
Today’s market got off to a decent start with the futures indicating a gain of about 500+, but it didn’t live up to its promise, falling back and reaching up “only” 428 and making that high by 9:45 and trading sideways to lower and making a low around 12:15 at + just 50 before turning back up to make a lower high +240 and selling off again, but making a late gain back to +310 before the last little selloff to close +227.51 (.85%), NASDAQ +61.91 (.59%), S&P 500 +29.04 (.91%), the Russell +50.05 (3.5%) and the big winner, DJ Transports +424.96 (4.56%). Market internals were strong with the NYSE A/D 5:1 and NAZ 4:1 with slightly higher volume than yesterday. The DJIA was 25:5 with the big gainer BA, +55 and UNH the big loser -31 DP’s. There was plenty of good news from the Beige Book gains, Industrial production +5.4% v 4.6 est., import / export gains and mortgage apps +5.1%. Tomorrow we have Initial and continuing claims, retail sales, Phili Fed, NAHB housing and business inventories. Plenty to obsess about!
Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows me to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 3000 members. I also did this video titled “How to survive being an options trader and not blow up your account,” over the long weekend. I think it’s highly informative as a guide to stock selection and option choices. The link is https://youtu.be/Y7H9RpWfLlo Enjoy!!
Tonight’s closing comment video https://youtu.be/hEiml2wDNeA
SECTORS: Goldman Sachs (GS) reported great numbers, buoyed by proprietary trading and while the stock traded as high as $225.24, it couldn’t hold those gains and finished $216.90 +2.89 (1.35%). So, as I mentioned in tonight’s video (link above) the airlines and cruise lines were propelled higher by the news from Moderna (MRNA) that their vaccine produces twice the antigens as those from patients that have recovered from the illness. MRNA finished $80.22 +5.18 (6.9%) after trading as high as $88.37. The airlines were AAL+1.87 (16%), DAL +2.49 (9.5%), LUV +.60 (2.2%), while the cruise lines were CCL +2.44 (16.2%), RCL +10.21 (21%), and NCLH +3.17 (20.6%). If I had to pick one that I’d go with, it would be none of these. I think the play will be in EXPE $90.23 +7.76 (9.4%) since people will need to book regardless of what they want to do or where they want to go. The TWTR hack of several high profile users, Obama, Biden, Bill Gates, Kanye West and Elon Musk was a crypto scam announcing a giveaway that required the sender to deposit .1 BTC in order to receive .2 BTC back…yeah, right…I’m so sure Joe Biden wants to double my money! And, the HOMERUN of the day was the Australian Biotech, Genetic Tech (GENE), whose “Severity Risk Test” was updated on a webinar. The stock was as low as $1.41 earlier this year and closed on Tuesday @ $2.26 and opened the day today @ 2.75 and ran up to $10.30 before closing $5.67 +3.41 (150.89%). Clearly a homerun!
FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN was LOWER with TSN +1.71, BGS -.27, FLO -.13, CPB -1.06, CAG -.37, MDLZ -.19, CALM -.14, JJSF +2.11, SAFM +1.77, HRL -.27, SJM -1.31 and PPC $16.53 +.30 (1.85%).

CANNABIS: was HIGHER with TLRY +.24, CGC +.81, CRON +.67, GWPH -3.99, ACB +1.11, CURLF +.10, KERN +.42, and MJ $13.64 +.38 (2.87%).

FAANG and Big Cap: were LOWER with GOOGL -5.74, AMZN -86.00, AAPL +.61, FB -.53, NFLX -.38, NVDA -8.78, TSLA -5.80, BIDU -.69, CMG +33.98, BABA +.25, CAT +2.62, BA +6.32, DIS +1.74, and XLK $107.64 +.58 (.54%). PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE PRICES ARE LATE MARKET QUOTES AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE 4:00 CLOSES.
FINANCIALS were HIGHER with GS +1.54, JPM +.99, BAC +.52, MS +1.32, C +1.60, PNC +2.89, AIG +.76, TRV +.79, AXP +2.54, V +2.72 and XLF $24.15 +.47 (1.98%).
OIL, $41.20 +.91. Oil was lower in last night’s trading before we rallied in the morning. I mentioned in last night’s charts with comments section in the Weekly Strategies letter, prices are trying to work higher towards $45.00. We needed a close over the previous high close of $40.83 and we finally did that today. The stocks were higher with XLE $37.38 +.79 (2.16%).
GOLD $1,813.80 +.40. It was a continuation rally and a new recovery high of $1,829.80. I have only the NEM August 65 / 70 spread on in the Gold market while we have been back in the Silver (SLV) calls @ $ .92 from Friday. Silver rallied from a down overnight session and the calls closed $1.40 +.12. We also added a GLD 7/24 170 call position @ $1.22 that finished $1.54 -05.
BITCOIN: closed $9,190 -120. After trading back to 8985 we rallied back to close – only $5. Since last week we have closed between 9200 – 92.85 every day with narrow ranges and today was a good start to move higher. A break over 10,000 still sends us higher. We added 350 shares of GBTC @ $10.02 to our position of 400 @ $8.06, bringing our average price to $8.97. GBTC closed $9.48 - .25 today.
Tomorrow is another day.

D100 Ways to Mess With "I wish for all the gold in the world!"

  1. It rains down on the character and kills them
  2. Infinite gold is just a single gold piece that constantly reappears in your pocket after being spent
  3. That's the gold from the town treasury used to pay it's workers, now there's rioting in the streets
  4. Can't be arsed to go through all the comments but all the gold could teleport back into the interior of the world - to the mines it originated in or just like dispersed through the mantle again?
  5. All of the gold in the world is condensed into one single coin that flotas in front of the wishmaker for a few seconds. When he goes to grab it, it stops floating and the combined mass of all the gold in the world is to heavy for any mortal to hold. It tears through his hand and throws him to the ground, leaving a 20 meter wide crater where the coin landed. Nothing can pick up the coin, but that just means that no one can steal it from the wish maker.
  6. Everyone in the world gains the belief that gold is your personal property and feels weird about possessing it. It's like an old roommate's CDs, or an ex boyfriend's hoodie. They'll put the same amount of effort into returning it to you, but only when it's convenient. You can't really spend it anywhere either, unless they have an unhealthy desire for your possessions.
  7. "ok it's all yours, go get it". (no gold moves)
  8. Trade continues with coins made of other metals, and gold is a weird fringe metal that nobody will honor
  9. All your gear is now gilded, and all other gold coins lose their color. Nobody other than you remembers the old color of gold
  10. The uncaring diety that granted your wish also brought all the dragons that guarded hoards of gold
  11. All the gold from underground bursts from the earth in front of you, with no convenient way to move it.
  12. All the gold in the rest of the world disappears. Widespread chaos and confusion reigns. Literally all the gold in the world is carried in his pack. No gold in temple decorations.. magical items with gold no longer work.. etc.
  13. The world is not defined as this world. You got all the gold in the only diamond world, so, none.
  14. "All the gold in the world" was a poem written by a bad bard. You get a worthless piece of paper with a lackluster poem.
  15. "All the Gold" is almost dead nag of a riding horse and was in the world. The rapid trip to get to you kills it.
  16. You are encumbered by the gold in your possession and can not empty your inventory fast enough to escape encumbrance in the middle of nowhere. (Hope a town eventually forms around you fast.)
  17. You get what you wish and everyone and everything else knows it, but, you do not immediately know. (good luck with all the thieves, assassins, nobles, bandits, demons, etc. gunning for you and your gold.)
  18. Every creature that falls under "fae" or similar are forced to deliver the gold to you. Everyone from a common fairy to fae deities come one after the other, each with only one gold piece until you have all the gold in the world. They're concious of their actions but can't move freely until the deed is done. Who knows what they'd do to you once they regain control of their bodies
  19. You get the gold... but its somewhere. Good luck finding it.
  20. All the gold in the world, except for what’s on your person, vanishes in an instant.
  21. All gold within 60’ of the wish maker flies to them as metal to a powerful magnet and sticks to them. They can only remove gold from their body that they are giving/donating to a person, cause, church, or kingdom/city-state, empire etc. (the person must be a stranger or passing acquaintance, no more than that, or they are using as payment for goods or services or repaying a financial debt. STR checks for movement and CON checks to remain standing will eventually be needed.
  22. Gold-rust monster.
  23. They get all the gold in the world in a spendable and secure manner. But some of that gold is cursed by various wizards and magical entities in various ways for various reasons. The owner of it now bears at least a dozen unrelated curses, maybe more.
  24. You get all the gold but now no one has any so it holds no value. We move back into a barter system until a new form of currency can be established.
  25. They get midas' touch and everything they touch turns into gold but if they touch a creature the creatures gains +5 ac and can still attack and move normally
  26. The character becomes coated in gold, lowering mobility but greatly increasing defense
  27. All gold not owned by them turns into silver.
  28. They get their gold, only to find that the primary currency is now platinum. Gold is now only used as a component some spells, or for the properties of the material itself.
  29. All the gold in the world disappears. There is no gold, so you have all that there is.
  30. The gold stays where it is but technically IS their property. Good luck convincing everyone else that...
  31. All of the gold in the world immediately teleports to their location, killing the PC immediately via crushing and flattening entire cities at once beneath thousands of tons of gold ore, coins, and dust
  32. Ok, you now own all the gold in the world. However, it is still located exactly where it was before. You own it but it hasn't moved. Go get it if you want. And try convince the current possessor of it that you are the owner.
  33. All the gold comes with all the dragons...
  34. .. they cant physically shift the huge mountain of gold and people come from far and wide to take a wheelbarrow full of gold that is too large to be protected by the party..
  35. Theres no gold anywhere else so everyone reverts to spending lead coins instead. Gold decreases in value substantially. ...
  36. All the gold in the world technically belongs to the player but it's still wherever it was before he/she owned it. It now depicts the players head on every coin and people everywhere say things like "hey I know you you're from money!" Etc
  37. It’s in bitcoin, what’s bitcoin? Just wait a couple thousand years.
  38. Because wishes are directed to the gods themselves, and they see the entire universe as their "world" the gold from all around the universe is summoned to the PC's or NPC's location, the sheer amount of gold is so large that the entire planet is destroyed, along with any moons it might have, if the dm decides that the universe the campaign is in is very very very VERY rich in gold, he might aswell say that because so much gold was teleported to a specific location, it collapsed upon itself and formed a black hole.
  39. Your players hear a loud, familiar sound of earth moving as if an earth elemental started traveling beneath them. Your player hears something rustle in the grass, PC looks down and there, under a dead leaf, lies a single spec of gold ore. Pulled from the earth they stand on the gold ore inside the earth always moves up towards the player. If they stay in one spot for longer than a week it begins to pile.
  40. It is in one enormous coin, and nobody can make change. You try to break it into smaller pieces, but are stopped by the authorities because it has the emperor's face on it.
  41. Everyone else will see the color gold as a muted grey.
  42. You now possess all the gold in the world, but now everyone wants to kill you for it
  43. The wisher get the world's supply of fool's gold (pyrite). Hope they enjoy the irony.
  44. Every sentient creature is "informed" that you are now the owner of all the gold in the world. No gold actually moves anywhere and it is up to you to enforce your righteous claim.
  45. The color "gold" is suddenly drained from all things which become more brown or yellow. Now only you can bestow this color onto objects and creatures.
  46. You get your wish, but no one has any gold left so the economy crashes.
  47. All the gold in the world includes the gold guarded by every dragon. Bringing the gold to you also brings you its previous owner or notifies them of your act.
  48. This could also be applied to innumerable other monsters as well.
  49. At first, the gold rivers streaming through the air above the wisher's location is amazing. Verucai Saltberry can eat her heart out. Then, as the rivers make landfall, a nervous quiet overcomes all those who witness the spectacle.
  50. All the gold in the world now rains down upon their location.
  51. After half of one hour, 2d12 * 10 acres are covered in anything made of gold. Coins. Ore. Candelabras. You name it. I don't think there are enough dice to calculate the weight...
  52. Hot molten gold floods in your direction
  53. The world decides that gold is now useless since no one has it. They switch to using electrum.
  54. You get it. Exactly as you intended, all the gold coins in the world. But, every dragon, king, crime boss, even members of your own party just had all their gold stolen from them, and they aren't happy about it.
  55. The color gold dissapears from everything in the world unless it is owned by the wisher. Gold is suddenly indistinguishable from silver except by alchemists and smiths and dragons. As a trade currency it becomes almost worthless. The economy plunges into turmoil and as the value of gold plummets so do dragons interest in it. The land devolves into chaos as they suddenly struggle to work out wealth. Gems and iron both skyrocket in value. Dragons, furious at their essentially worthless hordes that they’ve amassed over the years rage across the land. Gold dragons go black. They’ve lost their color. There is a sudden increase in black dragons. Chaos takes hold and the black dragons start taking over the land.
  56. All the gold in the world disappears leaving only what they have on their person
  57. The dragons of the world soon realize where their horde has been taken. They all have you in their sight.
  58. It’s in one solid brick that’s practically worthless for the size
  59. You find yourself atop a mountain of all of the world's gold. Every greedy dragon in the world will soon be converging on your location to fight for this prize, with you in the middle. This being all the gold, that pile includes the scales from every gold dragon in the world, which you've just forcibly torn apart with your wish. Even the good-aligned dragons now see you as a genocidal monster that must be destroyed for the safety of their own kind. Your death is suddenly the singular goal that unites almost every dragon in the world. Also, all Electrum becomes a sort of brittle silver. That will please our DM, who hates having to include electrum coins in currency conversions.
  60. "Granted" and it seems as if nothing happens. Then, after a moment passes, there is a slight thump nearby. And then something light hits the player, rattling off of him, looking down he sees a small, wonderful necklace with a lithe, golden chain attached to it.And then a coin lands next to it.And then another. And another. The sound of falling gold escalates, turning into a storming, crashing chaos as all gold in the entire world falls from the sky in a roaring hail of death. And then all is silent, coins, jewelry, ore, newly refined gold and everything else stands as a small mountain where once there was a campsite and a forest, all of the players are dead or dying underneath that silent, golden hill.
  61. The planet's core loses all of its gold, which, in a supercritical molten state, appears floating as a series of masses overhead. This explodes and showers the area in forcefully-flung chunks of gold. Good job.
  62. The gods of wealth and trade are suddenly obliterated, and you are filled with divine power contained only by your mortal vessel, which wrecks havok on the divine realms and the mortal world. You probably don't survive. Good job.
  63. The gold is helpfully contained for you, and only consists of gold coins! ...Unfortunately, they appear in every single container or vessel you own or touch, forever, making it impossible to eat or drink except off the ground and makes clothing, home ownership, or trade tricky. Good job.
  64. They now own the license to obscure Half-Orc Bard Elzic Pagavian's folk album "All the gold in the world". Elzic is, however, an extremely competent adventurer and will not stand for having his art stolen out from under him.
  65. The power behind the wish misunderstands the intent and makes the wisher the only person to have a thing of that color.
  66. They get all the gold in the world, being the only one to posses gold, it becomes useless and the world's currency standards change.
  67. They didn't specify which world, molten gold pours in from a fire world
  68. Granted, since they specified “in the world” they now have a mountain sized pile of unrefined and impure Gold Ore, this pisses off all the Dwarvern clans as each ones mining operation is funded mostly by processing and selling Gold and similar materials. You and the party are now enemies of every dwarf Clan and their allies.
  69. I started an entire campaign with a similar premise involving a lamp, an efreet, and a Wish. I had a kingdom's worth of gold appear in a magical bag (like a bag of holding), but it was a solid cube that couldn't be pulled through the tiny opening of its container. Made for a lot of memorable scheming on the part of the players!
  70. They get all the gold in the world, the economy is no longer based on gold as there is none in circulation, brass coins replace gold coins
  71. You immediately stand upon a mountain of all the gold in the world. Seeing as you are the only one who has any, Silver becomes the dominant currency, making gold worthless. In addition, you piss off several dragons with hoards. At the same time, most kingdoms fall into financial ruin as they desperately attempt to find a new currency. While all this is happening, sinkholes begin to appear around the world as huge underground deposits of gold have vanished, allowing the ground to give way.
  72. All the gold not owned by the players is suddenly converted into silver. Currency now takes up 10x the amount of space which means any storage suddenly becomes limited.
  73. For the wealthy lords, it’s a nuisance that their pockets are suddenly weighed down or overflowing. For the banks that have just exploded... it’s a different matter.
  74. All the gold deposits from underground are drawn to the PCs creating huge destructive geysers and destroying everything in their path on the way to them.
  75. All the gold deposits from underground are drawn to the PCs creating huge destructive geysers and destroying everything in their path on the way to them.
  76. They start magnetically attracting every coin they walk by forever.
  77. All the gold in the world disappears and the world is changed to a paper-money system. The gold you have is the only gold remaining in the world, but it is useless as a currency. Maybe some alchemist will buy it from you?
  78. The rest of the gold in the world disappears, all that's left is what three player has on them
  79. Assuming they mean currency they're giving all the gold in the world translated into copper and they need to find a way to haul the several million metric tons of copper they have now. assuming they mean or they are now surrounded by all currently existing veins of unrefined gold ore
  80. The player now owns all the gold in the world... And the accompanying tax bill.
  81. Elderly people appear
  82. You get all the Gold in the world, and everyone is hunting you for thievery
  83. Gold is molten, appears in your pocket
  84. total collapse of the gold economy because there’s a lot more gold beneath the crust than in it, and it’s all technically in the world

It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 1900 members. I also did this video titled “How to survive being an options trader and not blow up your account,” over the long weekend. I think it’s highly informative as a guide to stock selection and option choices. The link is https://youtu.be/Y7H9RpWfLlo Enjoy!!
Tonight’s closing comment video https://youtu.be/5afUNy48sFI SECTORS: The FAANG names all finished near the lows, several like MSFT coming off a new all-time high and closing down on the day.

GOLD $1,809.80 +16.40. It was a continuation rally and a new recovery high OF $1807.70 Last night I said “we’ve moved $50 since the low on Friday and while the trend and momentum are positive, we may have to test 1790 to consolidate our gains.” Unfortunately, we pulled back to 1,767 instead. We rallied a bit and finished only slightly better. We bought back the 3rd and final lot of NEM @ $58.86. And, we also added a half position in NEM 7/17 60 calls @ $1.55, and additional 50% @ $1.30 on Friday. We sold half on the 100% Up Rule @ $2.94 and half of what was left today @ $3.20, we closed $3.20 + .80 today.
BITCOIN: closed $9,290 -65. GBTC closed $9.76 - .19 today.
Tomorrow is another day.
